What Sets Us Apart
One Heart One Mission CIC is a community interest company based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, dedicated to serving children, young people, and families in need. We particularly focus on individuals from African, Caribbean, and Eastern European communities in the area, as well as looked-after children (young people in or leaving care) and others facing social or economic disadvantage. These groups often experience barriers such as cultural marginalisation, poverty, or lack of support, and we are committed to providing them with inclusive opportunities and support services. By concentrating on these underrepresented and vulnerable sections of the community, we aim to promote equality, well-being, and improved life outcomes for those who might otherwise be at risk of exclusion.
We promote the health, wellbeing, and personal development of young people through structured sports and recreational activities that build confidence, teamwork, and resilience. Our weekly youth club meetings provide a safe, inclusive environment for children and teenagers to participate in a wide range of sports, fitness sessions, and physical activities suited to different ages and abilities. Our sports and exercise programme encourages regular physical activity as a vital part of a healthy lifestyle, helping young people develop strength, coordination, and endurance while also supporting their mental and emotional wellbeing. Through team games, outdoor challenges, and structured exercise sessions, participants learn the importance of cooperation, discipline, and perseverance.
